Want to Know How to Thrive at the U as a New Transfer Student? Get to Know a Student Success Advocate!

Ever heard of a life coach?  The dictionary defines a life coach as:  “an advisor who helps people make decisions, set and reach goals or deal with problems in their lives.” Many people use life coaches and rave about the positive impact their coach has had on their lives.

Did you know that as a student at the U of U you can have your own personal academic-life coach?  We call them Student Success Advocates and they literally roam the campus meeting students and helping them create their own unique plan for success.

There are 8 Student Success Advocates (or SSA’s as they are called) working on our campus. They want to get to know you personally, so they can help you craft goals, access amazing experiences and resources and get your personal needs met.

Get to know the SSA’s and find out how to meet with one of them by checking out their website: http://studentsuccess.utah.edu/advocates-home/.

While you are there be sure to read about how the Student Success Advocates have helped other students find their path to success at the U.
